Reproductive Health Bill : An Issue for 2011 - News - Opinion

Since this is not yet a law, many people are voicing out in this issue because it promotes contraceptives.

All of these sources are all in the province of Cebu. Majority of them are Catholic Church leaders.

Cebu is located in the Central Visayas Region or know nas Region Seven in the Central Philippines. This is near to the Province of Negros Oriental.

As a Protestant, I am the representative writer because majority are writing in the newspaper. I accept their suggestion.

This is only my opinion of this article and I am not against of it.

According to Msgr. Achilles Dakay, the media Liaison Officer of the Cebu Archdiocese said that "We don't just need dollars, we need morals." Dakay noted that "How low wages have driven Cebuanos to work abroad and that workers need to rely not just on income, bu the word of God."

According to the Parish Priest of the San Fernando Rey Parish in Liloan Town no other than Msgr. Sindulfo Irarte, said that "the Filipino family as a basic unit of society is being threatened with the rising divorce cases, acceptance of Civil weddings without blessing and distributing condoms."

According to the Parish Priest of the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral no other than Msgr. Roberto Alesna said that "the faithful should continue to seek God's words"Another source that I gather is from Msgr. Renato Beltran, of which he is the Vice Chancellor of the Archdiocese said that "Modern technology should be used for a good thing. It should not be used as a tool for us to forget our Christian values. Msgr. Beltran mention that "he called on the youth to steer clear from the negative distractions of technology and the internet."

From Msgr. Dennis Villarojo, a team moderator of the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Capitol said that "the distribution of contraceptives especially to women would just lead to their moral exploitation instead of saving them." and he added that "their use provides a false sense of security"

Last but not the least, no other than Archbishop Jose Palma- the Archbishop of Cebu said that " The Cebuano flock should thank the Lord for giving the Seor Santo Nio de Cebu and the Virgin of Guadalupe to them." and Archbishop Palma added that "they continue to strengthen our faith and through all this year , we have been together in the name of their love"

As you can observed, they are talking more on unethical and immoral issues for the humans. This source is cam from Candeze R. Mongaya, a reporter from Cebu Daily News which was published on April 24, 2011 issue. This newspaper can be seen in the province but their website will last only for five years but mine will last forever and the same time, it is lifetime article.
